Slide # 11

Promote the message of adoption creatively.

However sincere one’s intention to promote the message of adoption may be, unless and until they are conveyed to the prospective beneficiaries in a concise way, it is not going to be any use. Anyone and everyone that is in the field of adoption must promote the message of adoption to help others understand what adoption is all about.

Of course there are dangers in doing this. What you’re promoting is not a mere product but a living human being like you and I. So one has to be careful not to portray this living human being as a commodity.

CARA must take initiative to promote the message of adoption creatively. Here are few examples as to how the message of adoption can be taken to the masses:
  • Fund and empower adoptive family associations.
  • Fund and empower reproductive clinics.
  • Fund and empower NGO’s that exclusively promote the message of adoption.
  • Fund and empower school of social sciences to do research on issues relating to adoption.
  • Make use of the “Adoption Awareness Month” (November) to create mass awareness through conventional media outlets.
