When you get to India and are ready to pick up your child and visit the embassy, you will want all of your paperwork in order ahead of time. You can buy a accordian style briefcase or folder with accordian style pockets in it to put all of your papers in by sections so you won't have to shuffle through them as you do the business end of the adoption. Plus your mind will most likely want to be on enjoying your child and not on worrying about whether you have all of your papers with you or not.
