Celebrating father’s day
Father’s day of 2009 is just around the corner (next Sunday). How about telling the whole world about how good of a guy your dad (or your child’s dad) is for this father’s day? This is how you can do it.
Simply write as much as (that means, there’s no word limit) you want to write about your dad (or your child’s dad) to tell why he is the greatest dad on the planet and send it to indiahopehouse@gmail.com and it will be published on this blog immediately.
To make your write up more personal, you can enclose a digital photo of your dad (or your family) along with the write up.

Adopted Kid Blog
There is a new blog that is made just for your child, by a middle-school aged child.
Hoping to connect with others with a similar life, maybe even keeping in touch with some of their orphanage buddies, or just expressing to others who will understand are some great reasons for your child to join this blog, or link to it. Sooner or later your child will want other kids to talk to who know how it feels to be adopted, the joys and struggles will be theirs to share as well as they are for you. This may be just the outlet your child may be looking for now or in the future.
If your child is a bit shy about starting out writing, maybe they could post a short poem they wrote that they would like to share in honor of Father's Day.

Adult Adoptees
Are you an Adoptee who would like to share some of your thoughts in a book to adoptive dads? If so, here is an opportunity to get your words in a book.
From one or two sentences to however much you want to say…here is the question they are asking… "As an inter-country adoptee what advice would you provide to today's adoptive fathers?" The contributions of adult aged intercountry adoptees would be anonymous.
I think the original intent was to get your thoughts in by May 30th, so the book could be released on-line by Father’s Day, I'm betting if you wrote by the beginning of next week that there would still be a shot at getting your words included.

Celebrating fathers day
Like in any culture, fathers in India also play a very significant role in their children's lives. Now it is official and made public in the debut issue (June of 2007) of "India Today Women" magazine. What did they find? Read on....
More than 1000 working women were contacted in 10 different cities in India over the telephone or through a roadside survey to find out the role models in their lives. More than 20% of the respondents said as "Father" and more than 9% said "Mother". Good job guys....Keep it up.
