On December 5th, 2006 I asked an adoptive mother with biological children if her grown adoptive child would ever adopt a child? She gently rebuked my question and said "it is an unfair question because my daughter has no biological connection of any kind in this world and she deserves one".
I understood the gravity of that comment and never asked that question again to anyone but always looked around for people who were adopted once and themselves want to adopt now. Don't ask me why because I can't even describe it but I always looked for that instinct in adoptees.

While I cannot speak directly to your question, I will say that Leslie's brother was adopted domestically in the US. Because of this Leslie was always open to the idea. So I would agree with what I suppose is your theory, that someone adopted or otherwise closely involved with an adoption, might be more open to the idea themselves.
And, while I understand the woman's desire to provide her child with something the child did not have, to me in a way she diminished the legitimacy of their adopted relationship.
