Delhi photos

This is the picture of India Gate. There were incriptions of soldiers names on it who have given their lives for our freedom.
This is the Parliament House of India. Thanks to the terrorists attacks few years back, they don't allow anyone to come close to this building. This is as close as one can get to get a glimpse of it.

Rashtrapathi Bhavan (President's Palace). I read that this is the largest Presidential palace anywhere in the world. India's President is a constitutional head but not an executive head of the government. India has chosen it's first female President in 2007.

This is the secretariat of Indian government.

New Delhi railway station. I really thought of a lot better railway station than what I saw there.

This gentleman is a former street child who was successfully rehabilitated by Salaam Balak Trust. Today he takes volunteers on a city tour (including railway station) to sensitize them about the needs of the street children and how they can be reached. This picture was taken just before we entered the railway station and inside the station, we were not allowed to take pictures.
