Celebrating adoption

As you may know, month of November is observed as the “Adoption Awareness Month” all over the world. To celebrate the month with each of you, Indi(AA)doption is inviting you to participate in a competition called “Celebrating Adoption”.

Here are the rules to participate:
  1. Anyone from anywhere in the world can participate in this competition.
  2. Write (in minimum 500 words and maximum 1000 words) an essay about how you celebrate your child’s (must have been adopted from India) life on a day-to-day basis. Please bear in mind that we are mostly interested in simple things (of course extraordinary things too) that you look at as a cause for celebration. You can send a photograph to accompany the write up and it is not compulsory. Send your write up to indiahopehouse@gmail.com
  3. Your essay will be posted on Indi(AA)doption blog (http://www.indiadoption.blogspot.com/)
  4. Winner is selected based on the number of comments that a write up receives on the blog, hence, after your write up is posted, write and ask as many friends and relatives as you possibly can to read your write up and comment on it. Multiple comments of the same author will be considered as one comment.
  5. Competition will end on November 30th.
  6. There will be three winners one each from India, United States and Other Countries. Each winner will receive paid one-year subscription to an adoption magazine called “Adoptive Families” of the United States. Please bear in mind that the magazine policy restricts subscription to certain countries and in that case, winner will receive the subscription amount as a cash award.
  7. Competition must at least receive 25 entries to declare the prizes.
  8. Organizers decision will be final.
