"Indian Idol" contestant is adopted

Widely watched TV program in India is "Indian Idol" (copy cat of American Idol) and one of the contestant is adopted. He is a 20 year old third year engineering student from Bangalore and his name is Abhishek Kumar.

Apparently he was told about his adoption at the age of 17 and he does seem to stay in touch with both sets (biological and adopted) of his parents. I believe when he finished the contest and was selected for the next round, both sets of his parents were on the stage. Great PR for the message of adoption.

I hope he doesn't go on winning just because he is adopted but purely on the merits of his talent. I am trying to get in touch with him to partner with people like him to take the message of adoption further in India.
