Adoption tip # 25

In India, it's common for the entire family to sleep in the same room. In adoption agencies also, children and ayahs sleep in the same room. When the children are adopted and are given a separate room (out of sincere desire to teach independence) which is a common practice in the west, it could be perceived as 'dislike' and 'neglect' by the child. Introduce the "Concept of Independence" gradually to your adoptive child.
