Who We Are!

Our little girl loves to go through the list of names of our family members. She will do it when we are playing in the pool as she looks at each of us she says our names, and she will do it when she sees our family pictures hanging on the wall.

She always ends with her name included last. Maybe because she is youngest? Sometimes she will point to her picture and say, "Mommy's girl". And I say, "Yes!, Mommy's girl!". It was when she was pointing at the pictures on the wall that I realized how powerful it was for her to see her picture up there with us all. I knew that probably helped with her bonding process to our family, to see her as one of us. If you have recently or not so recently brought your child home, I would advise you to take a family picture soon or even individual pictures and put them all up together like a collage/group on the wall where they will see it many times a day, so that your child can see you all together with them included. I believe it is one of the many things you can do for your child to feel more connected to you all.
