Our little girl is two and wants to be grown up already.....
she wants to do everything that her siblings are doing. When she hears them ask for something or sees them doing something she says, "I want to...(whatever it is they want or are doing)". It always makes me smile. We have a few small chores that we have the kids do to earn a small allowance, to teach them to help others, be a part of the family, feel kinda grown up, to have self confidence, and to learn some life skills. Well, our two year old does not have chores, but she sure wanted to help out today. She saw the other kids folding our towels, after I took them out of the dryer, and she grabbed the washclothes and headed for the bathroom to put them away. It was so cute as she of course hadn't folded them but just had them all in a wad in her hands. It was so cute that she wanted to be part of what was going on with her brothers and sister and to feel grown up.
