While living in the United States, my family had made it a point to attend heritage camps that were organized by our adoption agency. It almost took 8-9 hours of drive each way with two little kids but it was such a joyous occasion. It is not just for the kids to get to see children of their age and skin color but for us, adults, it was time to network, relax and enjoy the gala time.
This following article [click here] on attending heritage camps as a family has appeared in the “Adoptive Families” magazine.
