Arranged marriages in India.

If you’re familiar with Indian culture, you probably heard the phrase “Arranged Marriage”. If you haven’t, you’ll, by the time you finish reading this article. So, why am I writing about this on an adoption site? Well….many people do read this blog from other countries and culture because they had adopted or in the process of adopting a child from India. They want to know about Indian culture as much as they possibly can.

People in the west cringe at the thought of arranged marriage but read this article with an open mind to learn about Indian culture. This following article appeared today in the Hindu newspaper’s Sunday magazine. Author is quite candid and open about her thoughts.

If you’ve been through an arranged marriage and want to share a thought or two help others have a better perspective, please feel free to do so.
