This following article appeared (on January 31, 2008) in Times of India about a gay prince of Gujarat wanting to adopt a child. It appears from the article that it is going to be a “Family Adoption” which is perfectly legal as far as CARA is concerned but what is not clear is if Indian law legally permits a gay man to adopt a child?
