Christmas while you wait

When you have a referral or guardianship during Christmas time but don’t have your child home yet, it can be a very hard Christmas. Joyful because you know who your future child is, yet hard because you want to celebrate Christ’s birth with them.

One thing we did to make our wait a little easier and feel more like our daughter was included, even though she had no clue about it, we bought a little ornament for her and hung it on our tree. When we were at the tree farm picking out our tree last year, they had some ornaments for sale and I found the perfect one for her. It made me smile knowing she was still a visible part in our home that day ( besides all the pictures of her that we had up).
It is a glass blown ornament that was made in Germany. Here is a picture of the one we got her. The bear is for another of our children.
