Do you know this?

Surprise your child

At the age of six months we had dedicated our older girl at the church. We had to go in front of the entire congregation and then the Pastor would dedicate the child. Pastor also asks the congregation to pray for the child.

After that he gave us a sealed envelope and said “I have a letter written for your daughter that I would like for to give it to her on her 12th birthday”. We thought that was so neat so we carefully preserved it and hope to give to our daughter on her 12th birthday.

This is something everyone can do it – surprising your child with something that they can cherish. This is how you can do it. Find someone that loves your child, probably parents, in-laws, or siblings. Ask them to write something nice in their own words for our child and place it in an envelope and seat it. Ask them to give it to you with instructions as to when that envelope to be given to the child. If you want to make the surprise even more special, take a picture of the author and request the author to enclose the picture in the envelope.

It is not the gift itself that your child is going to appreciate but the thought and the effort that you had put in to this will surely be appreciated.
