Small gesture of love makes big impact

In the month of February, there was an elderly lady - Edwina, from Pennysylvania visited our town and also visited the HOPE House. Before she came, she enquired what we would need and promptly brought two bags full of locally made toys for the girls. This is not what I am referring to in my subject line of the post.

Last week our mail man handed me a piece of paper that said that I had to go to the post office to pick up a box. When I looked at the senders address, it was the same above mentioned lady's name that was printed on it. It also declared the contents of the box for customs purposes.

Right on top of the box, there was a beautiful greeting card from Edwina's daughter - Elise. Edwina was so touched by the work at the HOPE House, she went and shared her experience with her daughter so they collected clothes for all our girls. As you may know that we have 14 girls and everyone of them got two pairs and some even got three. When the clothese were handed out, I wish you were here to see the smiles on thier faces. They got a kick out of wearing spaghetti string tops, capri pants, and thin overalls. We still have some pieces left over.

It is experiences like this reaffirms my faith in the Almighty that the Lord will never forsake our work. Thank you Edwina and Elise for your kind heart. You and your friends have made a huge impact on the girls.
