Preparing families for international adoption

If you're trying to adopt a child from India, know this that the order of placing a child in adoption goes like this:

  1. Resident Indian
  2. NRI couples abroad
  3. Mixed couples abroad (with one being Indian)
  4. Totally foreign couples

As you can see that you're not the first line of preference and considering the fact that most Resident Indian only want to adopt a healthy child, probability of you receiving a special needs child is extremely high. If so, what do you need to do? What do you need to anticipate? How do you need to prepare yourself for an inter-country adoption? Well....I found this 9 page article written by two medical doctors to help you prepare. [Click here] to open the document
