For our older daughter's (Lydia) birthday, my wife bought a card for our younger daughter (Lily) to give. Three year old Lily had to be helped to write her name on the card and was told not to tell Lydia about it because it is going to be a surprise from her.
Lydia came home from school and as soon as she enters the house first thing Lily reported to Lydia was "Akka, (meaning older sister) I have signed your birthday card and it is kept in Daddy's diary"
Well....although the element of surprise was taken away from us, we thought so warm in our hearts to know that they both love each other so much that they don't have anything to hide. Isn't that cute?
