Child develops thumb/ finger sucking when they are bored, tired, and alone. As long as your child's thumb sucking is not a power struggle and he/she is willing to participate, engage them in hands-0n activities. Also create a grid poster (visual aid) for the whole month and make the child earn stickers for not sucking the thumb. At the end of each week, they will have a reward and at the end of the month child will have a bigger reward. Make it a family affair.
