Do you know this?

There are approximately 18000 parents registered with CARA, while the number of children in the Government's adoption pool is less 1800.

You too can do this to speak out against child sexual abuse

Two weeks ago when an Indian bollywood star Aamir Khan hosted an episode on a program called "Sathyameva Jayathe" country took notice of child sexual abuse like never before.  It is the most talked about item on many TV channels.

Get this: More than 50 percent of our children are sexually abused according to the show.  During the show, country was dumb founded to know that there's no law in India against the child sexual abusers  At the end of the show Aamir told the nation that the legislation is in the pipeline and asked people to sign up to tell our legislators to get it passed and pass it now.

What I am trying to do in this post is not to tell you to sign the petition (please do that too) but show something that I have been trying to do for the past couple of months.  We need laws and enforcers but more than that we need messengers who carry the message to the masses to tell them that it is a crime and we cannot abuse our children.

Every time I get a chance (especially when I know that I am going to be in the public view), I wear this above pictured T-shirt to convey the message that it is a crime to abuse children.  A friend of mine helped me make this T-shirt and please feel free to copy the words or translate it into your own language.  When people hear and see the message that it is unacceptable to abuse children constantly, it is our hope that someday perpetrators or potential perpetrators will get the message and this world will become a better place for our children.
